Spotted in Pop Culture! | Steve McQueen by Sid Avery...

         AS A SPECIAL feature on this #TBT (Throwback Thursday), #THEHOTTESTBLOG pays tribute to commanding Hollywood icon Terence Steven McQueen (b.1930 - d.1980) as featured in Vanity Fair's"The 20th Annual Hollywood Issue" March 2014 special collectors edition. Known more casually as "Steve", the King of Cool forms part of a golden trove of actors of a bygone Hollywood to have been photographed by the celebrated Sid Avery (b.1918 - d.2002) of "quiet mastery [and] guileless charm." Steve's iconic photo by Avery is of him rollin' through Nichols Canyon in Hollywood Hills in 1960. Classic photography by Editor-in-Chief C.E.R. captures the beautiful piece in timeless code...

The late Steve is the grandfather of our boy, Steven R. McQueen, who's one of the seven beloved young stars as cast for "A&F The Making of a Star" Spring 2014...

During his recent Twitter Q&A with fans on the Abercrombie & Fitch Twitter account, Steve's grandchild was asked by fan @ElenaFraquelli1, "how do you feel to be the grandson of the famous steve mcqueen?" His response, "@ElenaFraquelli1 Very lucky and very grateful."

Housed inside the meticulously Aber-redesigned structure at 118-7 Cheongdam-dong, this beautiful new international shop purveys to Korea #ABERCROMBIEHOT iconic cool! And with affluent neighbors such as Louis Vuitton and Omega, A&F Seoul can't help but to flaunt its renowned privilege in this swanky Gangnam-gu district...

News Now! | Abercrombie & Fitch Shanghai Opening April 2014...

We at #THEHOTTESTBLOG are totally stoked in anticipation for the upcoming opening of the great A&F Flagship store in Shanghai! To be the first Abercrombie & Fitch location in mainland China, A&F Shanghai will be the epic followup, in the greater Chinese market, to the historic opening of A&F Hong Kong back in August 2012. Fellow Fitches, polish up your Chinese!

Advantageously situated in the nation's fashion capital (and showpiece of China's roaring and ever rising economic might), A&F Shanghai is a part of the all-new, upscale Jing An Kerry Centre (静安嘉里中心) mix-use development at the bustling commercial heart of the city's Jing'an (静安区) central district. Realized to offer premium offerings in retail, residence, hotel (Jing An Shangri-La), and office space, the Jing An Kerry Centre is addressed at 1515 Nanjing Road West (Nanjing Xi Lu; 南京西路) – a street lined with Shanghai’s most luxurious shopping centers and part of the greater Nanjing Road (南京路) which, stemming perpendicularly from the world-renowned Bund (外滩), ranks as one of the busiest shopping streets on the planet!

While the paramount opening in Hong Kong was for setting foot into the greater Chinese market, A&F Shanghai will solidify the foundations of the Abercrombie & Fitch brand in China for the future henceforth. It is from the Pearl of the Orient (as Shanghai is so poetically addressed) that the Casual Luxury purveyor will directly entice with its energy and cool and increment significant awareness of itself across the psyche of the mainland Chinese consumer landscape.

Initially, Abercrombie & Fitch in Shanghai was anticipated to open during the Company's Christmas 2013 fashion season. However, construction circumstances regarding the greater Jing An Kerry Centre development pushed the planned date back. As you can see from that last image above, the Abercrombie & Fitch structure has already neared completion closely in line with original plans.

A&F Shanghai will now most appropriately open in April 2014 – a spring month annually highlighted by fashion spectacle subject to national attention. In past time, the month has kicked off, in new-found tradition, with the annual event of the Dior Haute Couture Spring-Summer presentation in a gathering of esteemed Chinese clients and China's of-the-moment celebrities. Shanghai Fashion Week (上海时装周) then subsequently commences; and if scheduling trends go unchanged in 2014, the fashion week will begin on April 9 and last until April 15. Strategically, promotion of the Abercrombie & Fitch flagship will then gain exclusive preeminence leading up to the now planned opening day on Saturday, April 19, to finish off the month with #ABERCROMBIEHOT FIERCE flair...

Abuzz with enthralling #ABERCROMBIEHOT energy and heat, the great global city of Seoul (서울) now finds itself subject to unprecedented cool with the A&F Hot Guys! That's right. The one and only great Abercrombie & Fitch store opening of 2013 is finally coming 'round the corner and we couldn't be more stoked!

Marking the arrival of the Abercrombie & Fitch brand in South Korea, this latest gem (KR-ANF; store #11294) is addressed at 118-7 Cheongdam-dong (청담동) in the swanky, fashionable, and über wealthy Gangnam-gu (강남구) district of the nation's capital city. With neighbors the likes of Louis Vuitton (across the street) and Omega (adjacent-right), the aspirational Casual Luxury purveyor to the youthful fits in right at home in its opulently renovated premises.

The A&F Hot Guys will be around all week leading up to the Thursday, October 31, opening at 11:00 (KST; UTC+9). The first 200 fans in line will be receiving a free 1.7 fl oz bottle of the globally iconic FIERCE cologne with any purchase! ...So all you fans reading this in Seoul, set the date and don't be late!
