Hey Dudes and Bettys!

Hope your all well this week.

So I was searching the internet for a list of Hollister outlet stores in the USA, and soon concluded that I could not easily find one. I was interested in finding one, as hopefully, I will be heading to Florida again in the Summer for a vacation! So there's your list of US Outlet Stores. Obviously, stores are subject to closure, and new stores may have opened. All information was correct on the 9th April 2013.

When we are on the topic of stores, A&F have released some of their plans for international expansion in their Annual Report, they plan to open A&F Flagship locations in Seoul and Shanghai. They are planning to open 20 new Hollister stores, 2 of which are in Australia (Westfield Doncaster, Melbourne opens 27th April!), 1 in Dubai, which is due to open later this year and they will also enter into the Japanese market. A&F also stated that they are considering opening numerous international mall-based Abercrombie & Fitch stores! I really hope they do, so the brand is more accessible over here, I'm dying to get some new Abercrombie clothes, looks like I'll have to wait to my Summer vacation for now! ;)

Smell INCREDIBLE!

A&F have released a limited edition perfume, 8 Pure Summer, which smells of Mandarin Zest, Fresh Nectarine and Jasmine. Perfect for those hot Summer days! Prices: 50USD 42GBP, 50EUR, 44CAD.

Hollister has released a new body mist for Betty's, Hollister Limited Edition Body Mist, pretty self explanatory then ;) It smells of Grapefruit, Mango and Smooth Vanilla, perfect for lazy days! Prices: 12USD (3 for 24USD), 12GBP, 14EUR, 13CAD (3 for 27CAD).

And the all new shower scrubs! Prices: 4USD 4GBP, 5EUR, 6CAD.

Spotted on Screen!

I spotted an Abercrombie & Fitch jacket on The Only Way is Essex, a reality TV show which airs on ITV2 in the UK. I'm pretty sure the jacket is the Redfield Mountain Parka (£290).

I also spotted a pair of Hollister Sweatpants in Dizzee Rascal's Bassline Junkie music video. I'm pretty sure they are from a later season. They can be seen on the girl nearest the centre below.

Have you spotted any Hollister or Abercrombie clothing on TV or on celebrities? Share them with me in the comments below. I'll be sure to check them out :)

That's all for this week guys,

Stay FIERCE

SPOTTED ON THE SCREEN! | HILARITY IN HOLLISTER WITH JIMMY KIMMEL...

Out of all the guys on American late-night, Jimmy Kimmel is the man! Entertaining, cool, and relevant to audiences across demographics, Jimmy throws at ya smartly crafted witty humor - about current events and pop culture - that's lighthearted comedic brilliance perfect for a so chill late night after a long days work. And with cool celebrities and hot artist performances thrown in the mix, his late-night talk show is just awesome. Earlier this year, as a sign of the strength of its performance and following, Jimmy Kimmel Live! began airing on the prime 11:35PM timeslot, now earlier than its previous midnight spot, and in direct competition with The Tonight Show, Late Show with David Letterman, The Colbert Report, and Conan. Debuted in 2003, its the longest running late-night talk show on ABC and now Jimmy is def the hottest thing on at 11:35PM. ...Although he'd probably snort if someone called him "hot". LOL

Anyway, Jimmy's recently done this little segment titled "Jimmy Talks to Kids." It was obviously filmed in one go, but he decided to show them in two parts so far: Part I, he asks them What's the difference between a boy and a girl?; and in Part II, he asks them How old do you have to be to drive? and What would you do if you had a million dollars? In innocence, all of the kids' responses are totally hilarious! There is this one nonchalantly funny little guy, however, wearing a Hollister-branded hoodie (what Dom, our guy in England, tells us is actually a cheap tourist imitation piece), who delivers memorable comments in regards to Jimmy's questions.

Watch 'em below and have yourself a laugh!

How funny was that, right? LOL What are your thoughts? How would you answer Jimmy's questions? :D

Stay FIERCE, kids!

Spotted on the Screen! | Abercrombie in 'Pretty Little Liars' and 'The Lying Game'...and a Real Hollister Item in 'Modern Family' and a Fake in 'Pound The Alarm'...

Our guy Vincent shares with us more spotting of the A&F Family in pop culture!

Playing table soccer (football)? Nothin' like a cool A&F polo for the evening with friends... As seen on the guy sitting down in this screenshot from the American teen drama series, Pretty Little Liars...

And here's the character of Alex Dunphy (played by actress Ariel Winter), wearing a Hollister plaid shirt (you can see the logo in the closeup), chatting up with mom Claire – in what is probably a hilarious conversation – on the American comedy, Modern Family...

You know, pop culture is also riddled with comments about knowing how to perfectly fold clothing because of having worked for Abercrombie & Fitch.... As states this guy in the American teen drama, The Lying Game, "My first job was at Abercrombie. It's the Harvard [University] of folding."

And lastly we have that guy everyone has spotted wearing that fake Hollister tee in the music video for Nicki Minaj's Pound The Alarm...

The tee is obviously a fake, or did the logo on the tee just get a shiny makeover? And does that cross the boundaries of brand protection...if indeed the tee is proven fake and it is noticeable in an artists music video? Back in 2007, Britney Spears' music video for Do Somethin' got into some trouble with Louis Vuitton for unauthorized use of the LV logo pattern. Who knows?

Anyway, give us a shout out whenever you happen to see the A&F Family anywhere on the screen! And thanks to Vincent!

Spotted on the Screen! | Abercrombie & Fitch Hoodie in 'Source Code'...

Always a good eye, Vincent has done it again! And this time it was hard! He was able to immediately recognize an Abercrombie & Fitch hoodie even when it was hidden, in this case, under a jacket from good view. Naturally, paying attention to details played a role and you can always tell when you see an A&F hoodie by the construction and design of hoodies unique to A&F. Only a true fan would know, of course!

And so that is how Vincent spotted this blue A&F hoodie in the movie Source Code...

An A&F hoodie indeed! And yeah! That is the rather attractive Jake Gyllenhaal next to the guy wearing the hoodie! FYI, Source Code is a really engaging movie with a smart and intriguing – and confusing! – plot, but it's worth a watch.

Keep an eye out and report to us if you see anything A&F or HCo on the screen - be it on TV or in a movie!

Spotted on the Screen! | Abercrombie & Fitch Polo in Ghost Whisperer...

Have you been keeping an eye out for whenever A&F pops up on the screen? Our contributor Vincent has! :D

The moose has now been spotted on the American supernatural drama Ghost Whisperer. In season two, episode 16, The Cradle Will Rock, the character Jim (played by David Conrad) wears a nice muscle fit A&F polo. Looks kinda hot for an older guy! LOL.

Actress Jennifer Love-Hewitt, there by his side, would have looked hotter in some A&F as well! Wouldn't you say? ;)

Spotted on the Screen! | Abercrombie in 'Glee' and 'Modern Family'...

Another awesome fan has pointed out to us more appearances of Abercrombie on the screen! This time in Glee and Modern Family...

The character of Finn Hudson wears Abercrombie frequently in the the American musical comedy-drama, Glee. Considering that the character is portrayed as a lower middle class youth, you'd have to ask yourself how it is that he can afford the clothing. But he typically wears only polos and loose-fitting to his torso, so they could just be hand-me-downs or something. Who knows. Finn is a football player in the series, and so the incorporation of A&F pieces into the character's wardrobe must be a subtle nod to his "jockness" - that and he was the most popular kid in school until his ignorant peers began teasing him for joining Glee Club.

Anyway, the times Finn has appeared bearing the Abercrombie moose are numerous and span loads episodes throughout three seasons of Glee. His most recent appearance in an A&F piece was in episode 15, season 3, titled "Big Brother" (originally aired on 10 April 2012). The following screenshot is when Finn asks his girlfriend Rachael to love him for who he is, not for who she wants him to be. Rachael wants them both to move to New York as she pursues a dream in theater, while Finn has come to question this as it being more about her without considering his want in life...

Glee is a truly awesome show and if you see it, then you can, too, spot Finn in his A&F gear!

The second screenshot is from Modern Family and features the character of Manny Delgado. His last name means "thin" in Spanish, and the irony here is that Manny is not thin at all. LOL. In the following scene (episode 1, season 1), pre-teen Manny is at the mall and gives flowers and reads a poem to a 16-year old girl he likes....only for her to tell him that she has a boyfriend. Here's him in front of abercrombie kids during the Summer 2009 fashion season...

Modern Family is a fun and hilarious show itself!

You can watch Glee Tuesday nights at 8:00 PM on Fox and catch Modern Family Wednesday nights at 9:00 PM on ABC in the United States. Overseas readers, check your local listings.

Oh, and the screenshots have French subtitles because they were sent in to us by our Francophone reader, Vincent, to whom we thank for keeping a sharp lookout for whenever A&F will show up!

Spotted on the Screen! | Abercrombie & Fitch in 'Switched at Birth'...

It's always awesome to hear from readers of The Sitch on Fitch who keep a good lookout for whenever a moose or seagull may show up on TV shows or movies...

Our reader Esteban shared with us this moment, in the American family drama Switched at Birth, episode 21, "The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters," in which one of the characters of the series shows up with an A&F classic shirt under his school cardigan....

Thanks to Esteban for the sharing! Everyone else, keep a sharp lookout!

Spotted on the Screen! | Abercrombie & Fitch in Gossip Girl...

Our fellow reader M.R.D. pointed out that Abercrombie & Fitch has had its run-ins with the scandalous Upper East Siders of Manhattan's elite in the American TV drama, Gossip Girl. Surely you know of Gossip Girl?! Sex, drinking, scheming, and bringing someone down...it's all in a days worth! And who can resist the hot cast? Sounds like the perfect mix for A&F!

To be precise, A&F has been relevant in the first three seasons of the show...

Season One

~ Gossip Girl: season one, episode four, "Bad News Blair"

During a nightmare of Blair Waldorf's, she rides in a taxi cab down Fifth Avenue and to the store front of Henri Bendel. It's a nightmare for her because she sees her faithful followers attending preferably to Serena van der Woodsen instead of her.

Anyway, before Blair gets to Henri Bendel, her cab passes by the Abercrombie & Fitch flagship store on Fifth Ave...

Season Two

~ Gossip Girl, season two, episode four, "The Ex-Files"

In a plot to break up Dan Humphrey and Serena van der Wooden, Blair's sidekicks Kati and Isabel step in to cause further jealousy between Dan and Serena. It is at a bar where the girls introduce Serena to a guy named Jenns, captain of the Dalton school lacrosse team.

Jenns is played by Tyler Johnson who modeled for Abercrombie & Fitch. Although his photography was not used in marketing campaigns, one of his shots was used for the A&F Casting feature on abercrombie.com...

When Jenns meets up with Serena over drinks, he naturally wears an A&F classic shirt...

Here's when they go hang out and talk with Dan and his date. Jenns talks of his swift moves on the field before Dan mocks Jenns' cocky recount of his game. Serena is not really into Jenns, and you can tell she's not captivated by his athletic tales, but feigns interest - she is merely using Jenns to piss Dan off. Enjoying Dan's annoyance, Serena informs Jenns that "Dan's not a big sports guy." Jenns, states, "I can see that." Both laugh and then Serena furthers snidely, "Yeah, he likes poets. And letters to poets."

Serena then excuses herself for another trip to the bar. Jenns stares at Serena walk away and tells Dan, "Smokin' hot," referring to her. Dan merely gets up and walks off leaving Jenns alone at the table. No one returns...

Season Three

~ Gossip Girl, season three, episode one, "Reversals of Fortune"

In this instance, A&F doesn't make an appearance, but it is mentioned and very explosively.

Model Ashley Hinshaw makes a cameo at the beginning of season three as she walks up to Chuck Bass and begins flirting with him...

She then makes advances on Chuck before being caught by Blair (who is Chuck's girlfriend). Blair informs Ashley, "You may have an Abercrombie campaign [...] but that doesn't give you the right to try to steal someone else's man! Now take your American girl hair and your poreless skin and get OUT!" Ashley replies, "Okay. You're crazy..." and strolls off.

In actuality, Ashley Hinshaw modeled for Hollister for the Spring-Summer 2007 marketing campaign. Blair says it's an "Abercrombie campaign" because it was a marketing campaign by Abercrombie & Fitch Co for its Hollister brand, of course.

 And...

Also of note, Penn Bagdley, who plays Dan, modeled for Abercrombie in the early-2000s. Badgley only appeared in one of the three A&F Magazine (2004-2005) issues and was not used for any marketing campaigns.

Badgley as Dan in season two, episode one, "Summer Kind of Wonderful"

Yeah, Abercrombie's definitely been here and there on the Upper East Side! You can watch Gossip Girl Monday nights at 8:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time) on The CW in America; on ITV2 at 8:00 Monday nights in the UK; and at 21:00 on SIXX in Germany.

UPDATE: Gossip Girl aired its series finale on December 17, 2012, after six seasons. Get the DVDs or stream online (depending on availability in your international region)!

Spotted on the Screen! | Dixon Dressed in Abercrombie for '90210' Valentine!

An anonymous reader pointed out a Valentine by the American television teen drama 90210 featuring actor Tristan Wilds as the popular character, Dixon Wilson... And he just so happens to be wearing an A&F classic shirt!

He wears it too baggy, but to each his own thing, right? LOL

Although the card was not on TV, it's still an onscreen character wearing A&F so it's still considered 'Spotted on the Screen', but it's also 'Celebrities in Fitch.'

If you happen to catch Abercrombie or Hollister on TV or in movies or whatever, then just give The Sitch on Fitch a shout out at anfnewsnow@aol.com or leave a comment below. Provide a picture if you can in your email or a link!

Spotted on the Screen! | A&F in 'The Social Network'

Surely, you have seen The Social Network? The 2010 drama movie which tells the supposed story of the beginnings of Facebook. Highly acclaimed as a film on its own, it stars Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook founder) and also features Justin Timberlake as Sean Parker - the guy who became Facebook's founding president.

Anyway, there is this one scene in the film (1 hour, 19 minutes into the movie) in which Timberlake's character walks with a girlfriend into Zuckerberg's house-and-Facebook-headquarters. ...AND the girlfriend happens to be wearing an Abercrombie & Fitch polo! LOL

It's always fun and cool spotting A&F or HCo in the media be it in movies or on TV! Thus, we're starting a new feature on The Sitch on Fitch titled 'Spotted on the Screen!' Where else have you seen Abercrombie or Hollister? If you'd like to share, you can email us at anfnewsnow@aol.com or drop in a comment below. Keep a sharp look-out! :)
