News Now! | Abercrombie & Fitch Debuts, Begins Partying in Mexico 2015...

         NEARLY HALF A decade after its entrance into the Latin American market with an A&F shop in Puerto Rico, Abercrombie & Fitch Co. has now finalized agreements to bring its presence to flourish in the subregion with the realization of premium, well-represented retail points across the United Mexican States ("Mexico"). Despite having brokered a partnership with a separate retail company for Middle Eastern expansion, this particular business venture represents the first ever fully-fledged franchising arrangement for the Company; it has been signed with Mexico City-based Grupo Axo which boasts Emporio Armani, Etro, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Coach, Express, Victoria's Secret Beauty & Accessories, and Brooks Brothers among others in its portfolio. Having garnered industry headlines after the November 21 announcement, the development is of considerable interest and anticipation.

How are y'all? There has been so much going on in the past few weeks in the world of A&F. I've collected some of the biggest updates, along with a very exciting exclusive! So let's get started...

EXCLUSIVE! THE A&F BRANDS ARE COMING TO BRAZIL!

Yes, you read that right. A&F is expanding into the Brazilian market! While there has been no official word from the Company, an employment website has stated that the company has opportunities for the MIT program in Brazil, along with other locations, such as Dubai, the USA and Australia. Following previous international expansion patterns, the Hollister brand should come first, then followed by A&F. Although, they could decide to launch an A&F flagship first? Maybe, maybe not. This is just in time for the FIFA World Cup in Summer 2014 & the Rio Olympics in 2016. Where do you think A&F will launch first? This is such a brilliant idea, and make good use of it, especially if you are only going in store for just the one product...but who can really do that? ;)

Abercrombie & Fitch Gets Caliente!

The all-American lifestyle has sailed over to Puerto Rico to open the coolest shop on the island! A&F San Juan opened on December 15 inside the mall Plaza Las Americas. The 10,000 square foot store is sure causing a caribbean stir amongs the croud! Check out the pictures of the opening day on the Abercrombie & Fitch facebook page!

A&F International Gets Interactive!

To mark the opening of A&F Copenhagen, Abercrombie & Fitch has revamped the A&F International tab on its Facebook page. A&F International now features interactive media that provides cool info on what's going on with A&F around the world! Right now, you get to vote on where A&F should open up another location (Dusseldorf, Rome, Brussels, or Hong Kong). I voted for Hong Kong, BTW, since a location in China is long overdue! Also, A&F International provides news feed which so far has been posting on the Copenhagen opening day. A&F International now also includes a map to show you where Abercrombie & Fitch will been opening around the world, as well. Enjoy!

Going Latin: A&F to Open in Puerto Rico

Abercrombie & Fitch will set sail off the American coast to open it's first ever Latin America store in San Juan, Puerto Rico! Oh, que lindo! The 10,000 square foot store will be located in the Plaza Las Américas mall (and is to be found on the first level). It will open in December 2010 - all recent store openings have occured around this time of the year - during the company's profitable Christmas fashion season.
