Business | Abercrombie's Historic Return to Sarasota...




The fantastic management team now welcomes one and all into the all-new A&F Westfield Southgate,
the first American Abercrombie & Fitch full-price store opened in near of a decade
and signifying Abercrombie's return to destination Sarasota!

         NESTLED AMONG THE gorgeous, resplendent beachside elements which have historically long-made Sarasota, located south of the greater Tampa Bay Area, a destination for Americans and else vacationers beyond, Abercrombie & Fitch, now at the city's preeminent Westfield Southgate mall, has finally returned a favorite paradise spot - the Company had originally opened in Sarasota, in the late-1950s, as a winter-only store, catering to well-to-do customers flocking to warmer weather from the northern colds, before the closures of the original Abercrombie & Fitch by 1976/77. In modern time, the return is now of a youthful renowned fashion retailer with sexy swimswear and flip-flops among its wears today!

Of more significance to said modern time today, this Abercrombie & Fitch location has opened during the flourish of all-new beginnings of a developing new era for the Company; it exemplifies of elements in the works of a revamped model for the Abercrombie & Fitch mall-based shop. Dark wood paneling and polished metallic lettering of the Abercrombie & Fitch label are among the preeminent elements being implemented onto the planned all-new prototype for the Abercrombie & Fitch mall-based store. This is more prominent on facade design, though we have seen it before having been worked into the interior design such as at A&F CentrO Oberhausen (2014), A&F The Avenues (2014), and A&F 360 Mall (2015) - which all three have been international locations, however. When it comes to A&F Westfield Southgate, it is the classic Canoe store interior format, well known to us all hitherto, but reworked slight details here and there. And also, by that picture above, ironically, considering the changes being done to increase lighting, the interior at A&F Westfield Southgate, as captured in that instance, seems particularly dimly lit with spot-lighting - not all Abercrombie & Fitch stores in the United States have been given the brighter-light treatment, truth be told.
