WHILE THE OPENING of all-new full-price Abercrombie & Fitch stores has become a rarity in the North American market, the opportunities for newfound premium locations in key consumer nodes continue to arise. While there's A&F Westfield World Trade Center in the America and shops in Mexico coming up, Canada is now officially set to get its fifth Abercrombie & Fitch! #GetStoked

After first beginning to blast its FIERCE cool in 2006 with paramount success in Canada (performance outpaced the average mall in the US!), Abercrombie & Fitch Co. is now anticipating the grand opening of A&F at the Pacific Centre shopping center in Vancouver! Recently, the mall has acquired the 578,000sqft building, across Georgia Street, left by Sears; it has been overseeing a full revamp  of it which comprises of transforming the building's underground level into a 48,000, 13-stores retail project to extend the mall's Level 2  - spanning underground across three blocks - all the way to Robson Street.

The other tenants opening will be AllSaints, B2, BOSS Store, Kate Spade, a Microsoft store, Pandora, Rockport, Ted Baker London, Tumi,Weekend Max Mara, and two units remain yet taken; anchor Nordstrom will be occupying the first above-ground floors, and Microsoft and law firm Miller Thomson (48,000sqft) will be taking up further space in the greater building. While the below-level new shopping area will be opening on Wednesday, June 17, Abercrombie & Fitch itself is not expected to open its store until some time soon after that; Nordstrom itself will not be opening until Friday, September 18. Ultimately, this will represent the first Canadian West Coast Abercrombie & Fitch!

No word yet on the kind of storefront which will be implemented for A&F Pacific Centre - whether if the standard white-faced, gray-walled classic Canoe format or of the sort we've seen for mall-based international openings in Europe, China, and the Middle East.

Shoutout to Canada-based fan Kevin W. for keeping an eye out, as well as Scotland-based contributor Cameron! The Sitch on Fitch will keep updated as new info becomes available! Totally can't wait...

Stay FIERCE!

P.S. Fun fact! Abercrombie & Fitch did photoshooting in Vancouver's natural environs for past A&F campaigns: like A&F Christmas 2006, with iconic Bruce Weber (and feat. A&F New Faces models Mark Carroll, main face of the campaign; Jessica Perez, who later made it in the pages of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition 2012; and Dustin, Tristian and Charlotte!) during the mid-2000s, glorious 'Casual Luxury' years! #TheMoreYouKnow
