All About Style! | Fashion's Sneakers-Chic 2014 Trend...

         YEAR OF THE horse? Um, 2014 is totally year of the sneaker! Unprecedented, the sports footwear is taking the fashion world by storm as already the outstanding style statement of the year. Hypewave for sneakers-chic kicked off in daring attitude on the runways of Paris' Spring-Summer 2014 haute couture presentations back in January: "Sneakers for haute couture?!," exclaimed the world in gaping perplexion and awe as fashion's general active/sportswear trend, begun in mid-2013, continued on and now was reflected for the first time ever on the highest echelon of fashion and in a never-before-expected-for-haute-couture hit...

Immediately, everyone began trying to get into the sneakers style-game. People eager to get their hands finally on a piece of haute couture that could be monetarily attainable were turned down by being told the sneakers were only available with the acquisition of a full haute couture outfit from the collection (as CHANEL itself shared). (Exclusively regulated by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture trade union and produced by a few prestigious fashion houses, haute couture in general figures from around US$50,000 to beyond US$100,000+ depending on the materials, construction, and time-production consumed by each painstakingly-detailed, all-handmade, customized outfit for creation). No need for haute couture sneakers, though! The trend has risen across the styleboard with in-now style-conscious people mixing fashion-forward clothing pieces with complementing outstanding sneakers you would have never thought prior, or appropriate, to do.

Paris fashion week for Fall-Winter 2014/15 ready-to-wear collections recently concluded on Wednesday, March 5, and Karl Lagerfeld declared himself designer king in full embrace of the hype with his CHANEL Fall-Winter 2014 RTW collection setting the sneakers-trend for cool projection throughout the rest of the year...

For guys, #THEHOTTESTBLOG principally suggests New Balances in the classic 574 style – the favorite for-style casual-prep sneakers of Editor-in-Chief C.E.R. (since 2004!) and which were cooly recently featured in the A&F online lookbook for men. Other New Balance styles and sneakers from other brands, inline with the guidelines as explained below, will work naturally as well.

Wearing Converses doesn't count. AT ALL. And it furthermore doesn't count when paring sneakers with a typical, expected combination (i.e. with hoodies, jeans, tees, etc.). Sneakers must be of outstanding design in combination with selected clothing-pairings for a fashionable sneakers/fashion contrast and balance.
