#AFfragrances
THIS YEAR HAS been turning out to be the year for A&F Fragrances, and there is much to yet come about! Concentration on the redevelopment of the fragrances arm of the business has been at an all-time high with a lot in the works simultaneously on various facets of the Abercrombie & Fitch olfactory element. And after the most recent rollout which brought the full introduction of FIERCE Icon cologne internationally instores, the next installment coming down the pipeline for the Abercrombie & Fitch Man is Batch No.46!
We first shared to fans about Batch No.46 cologne back in early-July and about the speculation within higher spheres the chain over what exactly it could be in character. Well, there's now concrete, illuminating official details over the matter.
Beautifully, Batch No.46 is particularly heritage-based. Authentic and raw. Something we haven't seen in a long time for a fragrance for the A&F Man. It is placed as paying homage to the hikers who braved climbing to the summits of the Adirondack High Peaks. And from this is where we get the "No.46". The Adirondack High Peaks is the name given to 46 mountain peaks in the Adirondacks which were originally considered to be the region's highest above 4,000ft, and though recent evidence has concluded that four of them are actually under 4,000ft, and that one that is above 4,000ft was overlooked, the name has stayed out of sense of tradition to the original 46 peaks - there is even an organization for individuals who have climbed all of the traditional 46 High Peaks, the Adirondack Forty-Sixers. The olfactory creation is literally the batch of fragrant of liquid inspired by the spirit of the heritage of the High Peaks, Batch No.46.
In play in code of inspiration and evocation, notes of Batch No.46 include warm woods, dark amber and musk; the liquid is a rather light, light, amber/honey tint. It was spoken about by select individuals up in the chain - before anyone came to know of the notes involved - that it could be a reworking, or a close approximation, of the original formula to the Signature cologne of RUEHL No.925 (2004-2010), though this may or may not doubtful - and a shame if not because people who've been customers and with the Company since the 2000s have been getting worked up over it.
Packaging, it is a rectangular prism bottle - with an interior slightly-curved-form hollow - with a classic A&F dark top and set in a dark-toned box complimenting the form bottle.
Furthermore, we could expect to see Batch No.46 out this fall before the Christmas 2015 season.
Stay FIERCE!
