Neighbors' rank currently stands at a decent 74% "certified fresh" with popular film review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, and it holds a "generally favorable reviews" stamp with Metacritic. The film is rated "R" for pervasive language, strong crude and sexual content, graphic nudity, and drug use throughout. The film took in US$51+ million on its North American opening weekend coming in at #1 after surprisingly beating The Amazing Spider-Man 2 which dropped 61% on its second weekend, from its first, at the box office.
