AS THE NEW year came about and developed post-Mike Jeffries, one couldn't help but notice dramatic differences which marked a step-down from utmost quality, sophisticated fabrications, at Abercrombie & Fitch, worthy of the label and to which we all have become accustomed to. For one, and in relation to the subject matter at hand here, the rollout and takeover of cotton/polyester graphic tees - and bearing simple designs/work, too - for the first time at Abercrombie & Fitch...and most certainly since the once-escalating premium work in result of being in code of Casual Luxury ideals which have been very evident of being no more during this interim period (even customers complaining instore about the drop in quality isn't rare lately). But we are moving ahead: Fall 2015 is a most highly-anticipated fashion season where we are to expect seeing the beginnings of a resurgence - product that will "hopefully take your breath away," said A&F Brand President Christos Angelides in commentary, during the FY2014 earnings release in March, over the work going on and a quote we've taken his word for, repeatedly referenced, and await for hopeful - and, recently, Abercrombie & Fitch made news for appointing acclaimed industry talent Aaron Levine as head of A&F Menswear design - to which the fashion wold is buzzing. We are expecting something better, higher, elevated, truly worthy of great icon Abercrombie & Fitch and what we deserve.
Devoted customers who have been taking note have been reacting overwhelmingly positive and hopeful - for it finally happening as we begin moving into the highly-anticipated latter-half of the year - over the budding reappearance of 100% cotton graphic tees! So far, this has been in the mens assortment and it is looking promising...
From top,
Most beautifully, significantly, also, the return of classic signature elements of more high-detailed design like the implementation of obscure yet intriguing, for-the-enjoyment-and-appreciation-by-the-customer details that just shows creativity went the extra-mile in the making of a piece, and that was so to love most specially in Abercrombie & Fitch Co. product at the glorious creativity height of the Mike Jeffries era...
We love that! Devoted, long-established Abercrombie & Fitch patrons - who have strong personal experience with utmost A&F quality and design that made it great - love that, appreciate that, and recognize it as great hallmarks of iconic, signature Abercrombie & Fitch design efforts going for more...and who doesn't love that, owning and wearing pieces that go the extra mile (such as we felt at the height of product design of yore)! It's a start. A great start, and from which work up again, more creatively diverse and daring than ever before, most fitting for the all-new Abercrombie & Fitch stronger and resilient with its core authentic heritage and as utmost premium specialty goods purveyor. #BreathsHeld
