The Photography Files! | Goodbye Vintage, Classic Abercrombie by Bruce Weber Snapshots...

Classic, vintage Bruce Weber for A&F photography when on display...
Image, C.E.R. for The Sitch on Fitch, Black Friday 2013, A&F Arbor Place, GA
THEY WERE THE outstanding relics, framed for the contemporary eye, beautifully set out on display as select snapshots of the very classic essence of the modern iconic Abercrombie & Fitch spirit! But with the newfound hellbent intent to purge Abercrombie & Fitch of all elements signature to the glory of the Mike Jeffries Era, action has now been carried out to finally remove forever the timeless photography showcased at the cash wrap and changing rooms...

The following images are exclusive to The Sitch on Fitch, and they captured the finalizing moments right down to the broken frames of what once was...

A staple signature interior decor statement of the mall-based Canoe stores of Abercrombie & Fitch and abercrombie kids (which store formats have only ever been found exclusively in the United States and Canada and Puerto Rico), classic, vintage photography by renowned Bruce Weber, for the respective brands, was selected for display as feature at the cash wraps and changing rooms. Again, as captivating snapshots of ultimate classic, iconic modern Abercrombie spirit. The montage of photos dated from the late-90s to the mid-2000s - very select, sometimes obscure, special shots.

Now that senior management is moving Abercrombie & Fitch with bold actions to eradicate and break away from all signature elements of the Mike Jeffries Era - the last ever Bruce Weber-lensed campaign was Back-to-School/Fall 2014, and with Mike retired not having returned to Home Office after not showing up for work on December 8, 2014 - it was only but a matter of time as the framed photography, as lingering remnants of the Jeffries Era, stood out surrounded by a different aesthetic now taking hold instores.

The world moves on... They will be forever missed.

Stay FIERCE!

NOTE: Lead image in this post is of at A&F Arbor Place, GA, though the location where images were taken of the removal process will remain undisclosed.
