A girl can have as much Dior and Prada as she would like, but when it comes to getting casual for yoga only one brand does it for one of fashion's biggest celebrities, Anna Dello Russo. The self-described "passionate fashionista" recently sat down for a talk with her good friend, Peter Dundas (artistic director for the Emilio Pucci label), for the Financial Times. Dello Russo and Dundas held their conversation inside the head office of Emilio Pucci in Milan. There, both shared their friendship, tastes, and cultured appreciation for the finer things in life...

For people always into fashion, the Financial Times highlight of the conversation would have made an interesting little piece to read just like any other. However, what made it eye-popping, and the subject of attention for fashion and style bloggers and journalists, was that she nonchalantly mentioned her preference for Abercrombie & Fitch "tracksuits," instead of typical pajamas and tracksuits, for when she has yoga sessions.[source] For the record, Abercrombie & Fitch does not make tracksuits. She must have meant A&F womens sweat/yoga pants she matches with a top (maybe a hoodie? although she mentioned that she hated hoodies as a little girl). Some people found it eye-popping because they didn't think of her – a high-fashion worshiper – as wearing Abercrombie & Fitch. That if she wanted a tracksuit, then she would have surely worn some high-end designer sportswear. ...No. Anna Dello Russo wears Abercrombie & Fitch as well (if only for yoga). That Dello Russo also does yoga was also unexpected! LOL. Needless to say, the article was very revealing about what else may lurk within her epic, immaculately maintained closet which happens to also claim about 4,000 pairs of shoes!

Oh, and let's not forget that A&F's flagship in Milan is very, very popular there. And in Dello Russo's defense, A&F Milan is situated right where the Italians call the "quadrilatero della moda" – the epicenter district of upscale shopping in the world-class fashion capital. Not that Dello Russo would probably ever walk into A&F Milan...it's just not her scene! LOL. Maybe she ordered online or got an assistant to make her the purchase? Who knows.

If you are not into what's what and who's who in fashion, then you must know that Anna Dello Russo is a major personality in the world of ready-to-wear and haute couture. She is renown – or rather infamous? – for her crazy obsession with what comes on and off the runways and she is an avid collector of haute couture. In Milan, she has an entire apartment jammed and devoted to housing her clothing and accessories – all of which she systematically catalogs and stores in individual clothing bags perfumed and everything! Naturally, it is no overstatement for herself to proclaim that she's a guardian of fashion!

As the Financial Times states, Anna Dello Russo is creative consultant of Vogue Japan and the magazine's editor-at-large (which means she contributes in a journalistic manner with whatever interests her).

You can read the entire article, 'Fashion is a muse – it will never end', by the Financial Times (here).

...Dello Russo just wants a FIERCE yogic experience!

Stay FIERCE!
