Abercrombie & Fitch in Hamburg Opening Rescheduled to April 28!!!

After the awesome opening of its first location in Germany – A&F Düsseldorf on Königsallee 17 – Abercrombie & Fitch is now gearing up to swing doors to its second flagship store in the nation...this time in Hamburg! Advertising for the upcoming flagship store was put in late-November 2011 and had since been promoting the opening as 26 April 2012. In a recent move, the opening has now been pushed back to Saturday, April 28 at 10:00 (Central European Time).

The rescheduled opening date will make A&F Hamburg the first Abercrombie & Fitch flagship in the history of the brand to open on a Saturday. All other flagships have opened on Thursdays. Why the repositioning? It's going to be a weekend! A better opportunity for people to make it to the opening...

Abercrombie's second location in Germany will be blasting its FIERCE cool in the historic Alte Post building at Poststraße 8 (also spelled Poststrasse 8), but others place the address at Poststraße 11. Basically, though, same place...the Alte Post building. Designed by Alexis de Chateauneuf after the Great Hamburg Fire of 1842, Alte Post is recognized as a great example of the distinguishable Nachbrandarchitektur style of Hamburg. Stenham Properties, contemporary owners of the structure, furthermore regard Alte Post as a "prime landmark building in outstanding retail and office location" for being "in the heart of Hamburg's prime retail area." All in all, A&F Hamburg is reportedly going to be offering about 2,000 square meters (21,000+ square feet) of the all-American A&F Lifestyle! Indeed, Abercrombie & Fitch has found itself a nice home in the beautiful city of Hamburg, wouldn't you say? Es wird cool sein!
