Hey Fashionable Dudes&Bettys!

Last weekend, I stopped in at Abercrombie and Hollister. I didn't get anything from A&F this time but the chiffon dresses and Adin Shine tees did look really cute. The playlist was cool; I didn't recognize a couple of them from the A&F club and unfortunately can't find them, so definitely go in to listen. :)

I did shop in Hollister though...

I kept it pretty basic with these dark wash destroyed low rise short-shorts. I think the distressing is the perfect amount with raw hem and hand-done destruction in the front and on the back pockets. Like a lot of HCo's shorts, the inseam is 2". Some in the shorts&swim collection are 2 1/8" or 2 1/2". The midis are a little longer at 3", but it's been jean weather for so long, gotta show some leg this summer. ;) 

I also got a plain white tank, the Swami's Beach Tank. And it's going to be my go-to beach/everywhere tank this summer for sure. I love the easy fit and racer back.

And I got a bright pink bralette (similar to this one). I think it might be the same colour and style I tried back in February (got the navy instead that time) and luckily I found the last one in HCo's clearance. The current prints and bandeaus are cute, but I just love the allover lace including the straps- unlike the similar ones now-  and the lace at the bottom. They're fantastic under sweaters or button downs (or on its own if you're feeling really Fierce).

I actually got to wear my shorts for a couple hours this week, but until the warm weather sticks around, I also picked up the May issue of Surfing at the counter. I could stay in Hollister reading magazines and listening to their playlist all day.

Comin' Up! Hollister Munich Store on Färbergraben...

Mark you calendars!

How's it going, Dudes and Bettys? Cool weekend planned? Our gorgeous German correspondent, Sabrina, is enjoying a wonderful weekend trip to the incredible city of Munich! Having fun is all in a day's worth, and she never misses the opportunity to drop by the incredible Abercrombie & Fitch flagship store on Sendlinger Straße in the city's historic center. (Purchase included a pair of sexy A&F Jeggins)! But there was something else to check out this time around in regards to all-American cool...high-word in town is that Southern California is finally surfing in to party up with the coolest guys and girls, of course!

Walking out of A&F Munich, a casual stroll to the left, and turning around the corner onto Färbergraben, brings one quickly to the site of the upcoming party at the Pier. The Sitch on Fitch showed you some pics from early-April (see here). Now, Sabrina brings us photos of HCo Munich as we countdown the days till the great opening celebration...

This week I found another super cute piece at Abercrombie&Fitch. 

The Adin Shine tee....

omg, so cute.

It comes in three colours- all US$30. I think the grey one is a hedgehog, the white is a puppy, and the third one is a squirrel. What could be more spring than adorable baby animals? They're all easy-fit and have shine logos. As soon as I saw them in the in new arrivals, I thought they would be great with a white anf skirt of mine (a little like the one in the grey tee's photo). I think my go-to though would be dark wash (light wash with the burgandy) super skinnies like these and the single button Pamela Blazer (US$98). And Midi length (3.5" inseam) shorts when it finally gets hot! :)

Under Construction! | Hollister Munich Store on Färbergraben...

As the great opening day nears (see here), check out these early-April images of the final construction phase of Munich's upcoming high-profile Hollister store – Germany's first HCo flagship store – on Färbergraben in the city's Altstadt historic center. A part of the greater Hofstatt development in the area, HCo Munich is to be the biggest Hollister store in continental Europe, and it also features a two-story, electronic video display facade...

 

 

 

Of course, the place is now in a completed and polishing-up state. LOL Hang-ten with the hottest crowd on Thursday, April 25 at 10:00AM (CET)! Donnerstag, 25 April, 10:00!

The awesome city of Munich – capital of the beautifully quintessentially German state of Bavaria – has been the FIERCE mecca for all-American cool in southern Germany since the incredible arrival of Abercrombie & Fitch last year. Now, after more than a year of wait, the sexy Southern California fantasy by Abercrombie & Fitch is finally gonna start to party it up, too! Break out flip flops, surfboards, and a wad of cash... And bring all your best buddies and get chummy with the hot lifeguards... Dude, it all goes down Thursday, April 25 at 10:00 (CET)! ;)

To be the biggest Hollister store in continental Europe, HCo Munich (store #31349), also boasting a two-story electronic video display facade, is a part of the greater Hofstatt development on the Färbergraben street. The impending opening of the location, although an outlet store, is quite looked forward to. Naturally, the presence of the shop will bring further consumer traffic and notability to the Ashford Designer Outlet shopping center.

Hey Fashionable Dudes&Bettys!

As you all know chiffon is so spring. And this week; I found another new favourite chiffon piece. Or three...

Totally '<3ing' (loving) the Women's Benni dress (US$68, online exclusive) in all three adorable prints- navy dot, blue floral, turquoise dot. They cinch in at the waist and the straps are adjustable. But my favourite details are the sheerness at the collar and super cute bow and cutout in the back.

Complete the look and take the dress from date to coffee to beach. The vintage trench, Alicia Jacket (US$140, online exclusive), is chic and sweet. The shawl cardigan, Jude Sweater (US$68) is comfy and effortless. And when it's finally hot enough (majorly confusing weather still), leave the jacket and sweater at home and hit the beach with the Straw Beach Bag (US$68).

Kyle in America! | Hey, What's Up?!

Hello everybody my name is Kyle and I am a new style contributor here at The Sitch on Fitch. I am probably the newest out of our staff to the A&F family, but I fee like this is the brand that reflects my personal style and life.

Hollister Classic Straight - Dark Wash

What I love about the brands is the fact they all embody their theme in a way that is not matched by any other industry or store. The way you get butterflies in you stomach when you first walk into an Abercrombie, Hollister or Gilly Hicks is a feeling that never dies no matter how many stores you visit. The music and scent create a beautiful, melody to your senses.

Being only two hours away from the "Home Office" and the original Hollister at Easton Shopping Town, I feel a closer connection to the story and rich history of the brand. My favorite item would have to be the classic straight dark wash jean, I have not found a more comfortable pair of pants anywhere else, the attention to detail form the stitching down to the smallest rivet on the pockets (which even boast the logo and name) is an example of the prestige in the design and fabrication of their clothing.



As the male style contributor for the good 'ole USA I hope to bring you my perspective and advice on A&F, HCo. and GH fashion and style.

Enes in Denmark! | Military-Cool Style for Guys...

Hello A&F fans! The summer is coming and it is time to change the closet. I was in Copenhagen yesterday and was on a hunt for a cool summer jacket... (This is Scandinavia. Up north. So as you can imagine, summers are literally "cool" in climate). My first stop was in Abercrombie, of course, and I saw the most beautiful jacket there which the model wore at the entrance. Unfortunately, it was not available in the store and sold out at the online store. Apparently things with military attitude in general (no pun intended!), style-wise, has been getting to the next level in Denmark at least. The thing I mean with this is that jackets or shoes or pants with military cool has getting a big popularity. Almost all of the shops have at least one military-style offering. I really look forward to when the A&F Jacket gets back in stock again...hopefully!

It's the Green Mountain Parka in "camo". So look out for it if it (maybe) comes back!

Here's this one photo – by this Milan-based fashion photographer guy, Nicola Bedussi, who I follow – at A&F Milan that I like with models in the camo jacket (and also wearing the A&F Skinny Jeans in destroyed light wash). Light destroyed jeans and the military jacket and you are ready to take on the day!

So there's your list of US Outlet Stores. Obviously, stores are subject to closure, and new stores may have opened. All information was correct on the 9th April 2013.

When we are on the topic of stores, A&F have released some of their plans for international expansion in their Annual Report, they plan to open A&F Flagship locations in Seoul and Shanghai. They are planning to open 20 new Hollister stores, 2 of which are in Australia (Westfield Doncaster, Melbourne opens 27th April!), 1 in Dubai, which is due to open later this year and they will also enter into the Japanese market. A&F also stated that they are considering opening numerous international mall-based Abercrombie & Fitch stores! I really hope they do, so the brand is more accessible over here, I'm dying to get some new Abercrombie clothes, looks like I'll have to wait to my Summer vacation for now! ;)

Smell INCREDIBLE!

A&F have released a limited edition perfume, 8 Pure Summer, which smells of Mandarin Zest, Fresh Nectarine and Jasmine. Perfect for those hot Summer days! Prices: 50USD 42GBP, 50EUR, 44CAD.

Hollister has released a new body mist for Betty's, Hollister Limited Edition Body Mist, pretty self explanatory then ;) It smells of Grapefruit, Mango and Smooth Vanilla, perfect for lazy days! Prices: 12USD (3 for 24USD), 12GBP, 14EUR, 13CAD (3 for 27CAD).

And the all new shower scrubs! Prices: 4USD 4GBP, 5EUR, 6CAD.

Spotted on Screen!

I spotted an Abercrombie & Fitch jacket on The Only Way is Essex, a reality TV show which airs on ITV2 in the UK. I'm pretty sure the jacket is the Redfield Mountain Parka (£290).

I also spotted a pair of Hollister Sweatpants in Dizzee Rascal's Bassline Junkie music video. I'm pretty sure they are from a later season. They can be seen on the girl nearest the centre below.

Abercrombie&Fitch S.M Cool Wrap Up (19-30 March)

Hey Fashionable Dudes&Bettys!

Abercrombie&Fitch's collection #AbercrombieHot has gotten even hotter with 'Shorts & Skin'. And I think it's officially shorts season. Just weeks- ok, a couple months- until 'summer nights'.

Like the pre-spring collections, bold colours, prints, and high rise shorts appear in the 'shorts&skin' collection. The betty's collection is full of  low to high rise shorts with embellishments and distressing. While the dude's collection ranges from prep fit, classic fit, and cargo shorts. 

Mens: The Red Prep Fit shorts (US$35, online exclusive) with braided belt are bold and fun for the Summer. The prep fit hits just above the knee. Compared to the vintage washed Lake Arnold shorts, these are nice update. They are majorly hot in red, pink, green, and blue. I'm definitely biased when it comes to pink, but love it on guys. Of course, the red is slightly reminiscent of HCo lifeguard shorts. The Khaki Cargo Shorts (US$40) with 'rugged' belt also hits at the knee. Show off your rugged manly side with worn-in details like "hand-done destruction with nicking and grinding at trims". Classic cargo short details also included- the classic larger cargo pockets and drawstring at the waist. The Navy Classic Fit shorts (US$58) may be one of my favourites with an all-over embroidered whale pattern. They are so cute (in a mature/manly way).

Womens: The floral on the Mid rise embroidered medium wash shorts (US$58) is so sweet. The various spring colours of orange, green, and yellow, fading, and destroyed hems give a vintage-y feel. All of the details are just really lovely. The High rise destroyed medium wash shorts (US$58) are the basic short of the season. The cleaner destruction with the high rise is great and the cuffed hem looks effortlessly stylish. The contrast of the bleach and raw hem with the shine details in the Low rise embellished medium wash shorts (US$58) is really cool.

Fashionista Anna Dello Russo is All Designer Threads and Abercrombie & Fitch...

She's quite the fun, delightful, darling celebrity of the fashion world... Anna Dello Russo generated quite the buzz last year when she shared, during a sit down with her friend Peter Dundas (creative director for the Italian Emilio Pucci label), that she wears Abercrombie & Fitch sportswear for exercise. The conversation including that tidbit was published in article form by the Financial Times and spread like wildfire across le monde de la mode. You can read The Sitch on Fitch post (here). But as it now turns out, Dello Russo actually shared her preference for Abercrombie & Fitch much earlier...

In a little Telegraph vid from October 2010, she previewed a small sample of her wares inside her suite at the Paris Ritz while in town for Paris Fashion Week. It is in this video where she comments, "When I'm not wearing- When I don't dress up, I am wearing Abercrombie." The girl goes all-American "casual luxury" in general, not just for yoga, when not donning thousand-dollar "dress up" clothes. Funny how it took an article from the Financial Times to stir fashionistas' curiosity after the revelation had already been made back in 2010 through the Telegraph vid...



Anyone who knows of Dello Russo – currently the creative consultant and editor-at-large for Vogue Japan – is aware of her lavish and explosively creative looks, tastes, and love with high-fashion, luxury pieces. Hence, the buzz about Dello Russo wearing anything other than high-fashion. However, anyone knowledgeable in the art of fashion and style should very well know that the mix-use of luxury pieces with casualwear is a contemporary classic. The now historic cover of American Vogue November 1988 – the premier Vogue issue of the iconic Anna Wintour as Editor-in-Chief – was unprecedented at the time and brought the high/casual mix to revolutionary spotlight. ...Fendi and Fitch? Now that's an idea!

I hope you are all well this week!

On Easter Friday, 29th March, I headed to Glasgow's Braehead Shopping Centre to see if I could pick up a bargain in Hollister's 25% off deal! Yes, they finally started doing sales on all stock! Haha. The store was absolutely packed with the queue stretching half way into the second Betty's room. All the cash registers were manned, but I still waited a good 25 minutes to be served. They only had one lot of changing rooms open, so I waited in a queue there for at least 15 minutes. But hey-ho, it's just part of the Hollister experience ;)

I managed to pick up up a few good deals, including three hoodies, and a jacket. More on that soon. The 25% off offer excluded body care, fragrance, gift cards and clearance (damn...). The new Trinity Leeds store was also excluded from the offer.

What did I buy? Not an awful lot, really. They didn't have any of the new tees in with the Instagram photos on, the Pier View Beach ones, which was disappointing, as these were reduced to only £12 on the site! In the end, I bought...
